Frank A. Shannon, Principal

Frank Shannon is a dedicated philanthropy expert with an executive career spanning over 30 years. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he began his career as a development officer for the University’s Evans Library, the University Press and the College of Veterinary Medicine. He was named Associate Executive Director and then Executive Director of the 12th Man Foundation, the athletic fundraising arm of Texas A&M. During his tenure, annual giving advanced from $2 million per year to over $6 million and the endowment grew from $3 million to $11 million over an 8-year span. During that time, he led the launch of a $35 million campaign to build The Zone at Kyle Field. He would become Executive Director of The Citadel Foundation at The Military College of South Carolina, where he successfully led a $100 million comprehensive campaign for 5 years while managing a staff of 25 and an endowment of $110 million. Most recently, as Executive Director of Development at St. Mary’s Catholic Center at Texas A&M, he successfully completed two campaigns over a 12-year period, totaling $48 million that completely funded an $11.5 million expansion to the student center and a $36.8 million new church.

Frank believes that the keys to fundraising success are developing and advancing relationships, tried and true methodology, and dynamic leadership. He feels that we are called to do our part to be beacons of light and hope for the world and now serves Catholic parishes, campus ministries, schools, and apostolates as a strategic philanthropic advisor, consultant and coach. He resides in College Station, Texas with Debbie, his wife of 46 years, and is the proud father of six children and nine grandchildren.
